Initially deployed in 2012, TaKaDu’s Event Management solution has enabled Udal Sareak (Spain) to optimise the operational management of its water network
Bilbao, Spain, and Yehud, Israel – December 13 2017 – Udal Sareak, the Bilbao Bizkaia Water Consortium subsidiary responsible for managing the water distribution network of 70 municipalities and localities in the Bilbao area, has renewed its contract with TaKaDu, a global leader in Integrated Event Management solutions for the water industry, following a public tender. The contract is managed by Envirodata, one of TaKaDu’s partners in Spain and South America (Chile and Colombia), which provides local integration services and platform maintenance.
Over the last five years, TaKaDu’s event management solution has enabled Udal Sareak to provide a high-quality water service, resulting in increased customer satisfaction, while keeping the leakage level low. Udal’s decision to continue the contract was based on the success of the solution’s performance.
Juan Luis Mozo, Director de Explotación at Udal Sareak, said, “TaKaDu allows us to accelerate decision making and improve how we manage our network on different levels by prioritising events. For example, we can verify that repairs have been carried out successfully by our field teams, preventing water loss and assuring against human error. We have achieved a 50% decrease in repair time of invisible leaks that would otherwise go undetected. Customer satisfaction is a key priority for us and TaKaDu has enabled us to focus on what is important, optimise our work processes and improve our response times.”
TaKaDu’s automated cloud-based service enables utilities to detect, analyse and manage network events and incidents such as leaks, bursts, faulty assets, telemetry and data issues, operational failures, and more.
